On November 29th, workers in Pittsburgh joined the nationwide Fight For $15 Day of Disruption to advocate for a living wage and a voice on the job for every working American. In addition to fast-food workers, UPMC and Giant Eagle employees also walked off the job and joined in the fight.
Today, UPMC announced they would be raising the minimum wage at most of their Pittsburgh facilities to $15/hr. by 2021.
