PIIN Interfaith Prayer Vigil to end the inhumane conditions at the Allegheny County Jail.

On May 4th, the National Day of Prayer, PIIN hosted its second
interfaith prayer vigil to honor the victims of death, abuse, and
neglect, and to pray for end to the inhumane conditions at the
Allegheny County Jail. Thanks to AHINSA, Alliance for Police
Accountability-APA, Abolitionist Law Center, Thomas Merton Center,
Bend the Arc: Jewish Action Pittsburgh, Black Political Empowerment
Project (B-PEP), CAIR-Pittsburgh Islamic Center of Pittsburgh and
everyone who joined us! We prayed, sang, and called on County
Executive Rich Fitzgerald to commit to using the remainder of his term
to end the inhumane conditions at the ACJ.

If you are interested in joining PIIN’s ACJ Action Group, please email
office@piinpa.org and we will respond back with more details.
