PIIN set to partner with Squirrel Hill Stands Against Gun Violence, CeaseFire PA and Bend the Arc: Pittsburgh on In Memoriam, an event remembering the victims of gun violence and calling for stronger gun laws.

PIIN is excited to partner with Squirrel Hill Stands Against Gun Violence, CeaseFire PA and Bend the Arc: Pittsburgh on In Memoriam, an event remembering the victims of gun violence and calling for stronger gun laws. This event on October 24 from 4-5 pm will recognize the victims of the October 27 shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue, victims of gun homicide in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County, and victims of mass shootings across the nation. There will be no political speakers. We ask that people arrive at 3:45 pm to sign in and obtain a poster.

The event itself has been planned to offer several opportunities for participation which may be meaningful to families who have lost loved ones to gun homicide. We hope that your congregation will choose to become a faith partner for this event. For more information on how to be a part of this event please contact Dana Kellerman (DanaLK@gmail.com), Carolyn Ban (cban@pitt.edu) or Anne Marie Nelson (ammizel@verizon.net) with questions or to become an event partner.
