How is the Pittsburgh Police addressing Procedural Justice? Find out March 23.

The National Initiative for Building Community Trust and Justice says “procedural justice focuses on the way police and other legal authorities interact with the public, and how the characteristics of those interactions shape the public’s views of the police, their willingness to obey the law, and actual crime rates.”

Started under Chief McLay, the Pittsburgh Police has worked to address procedural justice through training all of its officers and workshops with the community. These workshops explore the roles that the police and the community play in improving relationships.

Join PIIN’s Public Safety Task Force for one of these workshops on March 23rd, from 6-9pm.  Register here.
