Join PIIN on Sept. 26 for an Our Water Town Hall

Pittsburgh residents have long recognized the need to fix the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) to ensure that every family in our city has access to safe, affordable drinking water. We’ve already seen what happens when private corporations like Paris-based company, Veolia, come to our city and take over our public assets. Pittsburgh cannot make the same mistake twice.

On Tuesday, September 26, the Our Water Campaign will hold a town hall to advance the fight for safe, publicly controlled water in Pittsburgh:

Protect Our Water Town Hall
Tuesday, September 26, 2017
6:00pm-8:00pm
Pittsburgh United: 841 California Avenue, Pittsburgh 15212

Together, the Our Water Campaign has secured a number of important victories, including: halting our city’s dangerous partial line replacement program, securing the distribution of free water filters, and passing legislation that supports low-income residents in need of line replacements. Our work, though far from over, demonstrates the progress that can be made when residents work in conjunction with their public water authority for the betterment of our city.

If you’ve wanted to learn more about the recent developments concerning the PWSA or how you and your neighbors can plug into the fight for safe, affordable, publicly controlled water in Pittsburgh, our town hall is the event for you.

We hope to see you on September 26!
